Oprah Winfrey said, “The single greatest thing you can do to change your life today is to start being grateful for what you have right now. No gesture is too small when done with gratitude.”
Gratitude is something we tend to think about at Thanksgiving. Or maybe when something really big and scary happens to us. But when gratitude is part of our daily lives, we start to feel differently- about ourselves, about life, and about the things that happen to us. Taking time to identify and appreciate the things we are grateful for makes a difference in our relationships, our work performance, our parenting, our finances, and even our health.
For the next 26 days of The Gratitude Project, we’re going to add some spice. And we thought it would be fun to invite you to join us (and if you find that it’s making a difference, feel free to join us on our year long journey together). We’re going to play The Alphabet Game. Except instead of looking for road signs that start with a certain letter, we’re going to find things we’re grateful for that start with that letter.
And just to make it easy on you, we’ve even got a nifty little cheat sheet for you to download where you can jot down the letters you discover. If you accidentally miss a day, that’s OK. You can always start from where you left off or go back to it later. And if you get stuck on one letter, but you discover something really good for another, go on and write it down. The purpose of this is to be fun and helpful (not another source of stress in your life).
And if you come up with a really cool thing that belongs to a letter, feel free to tell me! I’ll be trying to discover something good for Q, Z, Y, and Z, too! : )
So we hope you’ll join us and discover a difference in your life, too! We’ve had some really great insights in the project, and we’re discovering some great benefits!
